They&rsquo;ve decided to put an end to it, and we might have some bad news for dog lovers&hellip;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>&ldquo;cats or dogs&rdquo;<\/em> question has become a real test for many potential friendships and relationships. A simple question, with a simple answer, yet people use it as a way to judge a character. Although it might sound silly, there is some truth in this approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stereotypically, cats are known for being sly, moody, and not <em>too<\/em> friendly. Dogs, also known as &ldquo;man&rsquo;s best friends&rdquo;, are energetic, friendly, and excited about every little thing in their surroundings. So, you&rsquo;d expect their parents to be the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People who are parents to both &ndash; please take a step back. Live your life peacefully in your pet and love-filled homes, because this battle is about to get real. They&rsquo;re extroverted, talk loudly, and they&rsquo;re <em>very<\/em> excited about life. Cat parents, on the other hand, are more like their furry friends &ndash; they&rsquo;d rather spend their night inside, reading a good book and petting their little cuddle buddies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to LiveScience, cat people seem to be more introverted, sensitive, and open-minded, while dog lovers are always looking for a good time, and they&rsquo;re much better at following the rules. This seems natural considering the character of their loving friends, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes this research quite controversial is the conclusion that cat people are more intelligent than those with canine friends. Now that we think about it, we can&rsquo;t see how this can help the heated debate&hellip;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Denise Guastello, an associate professor of psychology at Carroll University, this makes perfect sense. Because of the nature of their fur friends, dog people are more likely to go out for walks, talk to other people, and meet other dogs and their owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since their fur buddies don&rsquo;t really need to go out for a walk, cat parents are more likely to stay inside and spend time reading, watching movies, or focusing on their hobbies. This might be good news for both sides, right? It&rsquo;s not your choice of pet that makes you more or less intelligent, but it&rsquo;s how you spend your time with them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although dogs are seen as more intelligent than cats because they can detect illnesses, sniff out drugs, and find people in the rubble, cats are a lot more expressive and communicative. Every cat parent will tell you how they have a special connection with their fur baby, and that&rsquo;s not far from the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While dogs are great at following their owner&rsquo;s cues, cats have perfected their communication skills to the point where they can tell their parents when they&rsquo;re hungry or want to use their litter box. Cats and their parents complete and support each other, rather than depending on one another. These characteristics are often seen in successful and intelligent people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the main differences are: cats are a better choice for book lovers who like to spend their time surrounded by a small group of people, while <a href=\"https:\/\/catschef.com\/are-cats-cleaner-than-dogs\/\" data-lasso-id=\"2219\">dogs<\/a> are ideal for outgoing individuals who are looking for a good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&rsquo;re not saying one is better than another, this is simply an observation. Whether you&rsquo;re a dog or a cat person, we&rsquo;re sure your life is filled with a lot of joy. After all, that&rsquo;s the only thing we should focus on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you choose barks or meows, walks around the park, or a good book and a cup of coffee &ndash; it doesn&rsquo;t really matter. The most important thing is that there&rsquo;s a furry friend out there that will be the right fit for you no matter how you spend your days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next time you try to judge a person by his choice of pets, try judging them by how they treat them.
